Club World Cup champion Chelsea has completed the signing of Netherlands defender Jorrel Hato from Ajax in a deal worth a reported $49 million.

Chelsea have signed 19-year-old defender Jorrel Hato from Ajax, the club announced on Sunday. Hato will join the Premier League club in a deal worth €46.5 million ($53m) excluding bonuses, sources told ESPN NL. Chelsea said Hato signed a long-term deal that will keep with the club until 2032 and will join up with his new teammates later this week.
