Amazon.com Inc. Chief Executive Andy Jassy has admitted that his company’s workforce is likely going to become much smaller in the future as more tasks are performed by generative artificial intelligence tools and AI agents.

Amazon CEO Andy Jassy said the company's corporate workforce will shrink in the coming years as it adopts more generative artificial intelligence tools and agents. Jassy wrote that employees should learn how to use AI tools and experiment and figure out "how to get more done with scrappier teams.
