Bournemouth striker Evanilson is set for a spell on the sidelines after having surgery on his broken foot. The Brazil forward was substituted in the closing stages of Saturday's 1-0 win against Everton. Further assessment confirmed he had fractured a metatarsal and that it required an operation.

Evanilson was replaced in the 82nd minute by Philip Billing after complaining of some discomfort in the narrow victory. Bournemouth have now released a statement to confirm that Evanilson has undergone surgery after medical tests revealed that he had sustained a broken foot.

The Cherries defeated Everton 1-0 on Saturday, however Evanilson was substituted after suffering from discomfort with eight minutes left to play. He will now be supported through the rehabilitation process by club staff.
