The Orioles reinstated catcher Gary Sánchez from the 10-day IL on Sunday and optioned Maverick Handley to Triple-A Norfolk.

Gary Sanchez had quite the weekend. Now playing for the Yankees' AL East rival Baltimore Orioles, Sanchez returned from the Injured List on Saturday. Rocking the No. 99 made famous by Aaron Judge, Sanchez homered in his return from the IL on Saturday.

Right on cue, Gary Sánchez delivered. The Orioles’ struggles against left-handed pitching this season have been well-documented, so their recent influx of right-handed bats coming off the injured list are a welcome addition.

With key right-handed bats getting healthy, the Baltimore Orioles might be all right against left-handed pitching going forward.
