Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday said a total investment of nearly Rs 1 lakh crore was announced for infrastructure development by various government agencies during the business summit here.

During the valedictory function of the event, Chief Secretary Ravi Kota said around 270 agreements worth Rs 2.75 lakh crore were signed among the state government and various companies.

The investments will be made by the Central government in sectors such as road transport, railway connectivity, waterways enhancement, and air connectivity, he added.
