Tensions are rising again in the face of possible Gaza peace talks after a far-right Israeli minister prayed at Jerusalem's most sensitive holy site and Hamas released a video showing emaciated Israeli hostages.

Following the vote to oust Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara, the country’s top court issued an injunction barring the government from appointing a new attorney general until further instructions. The court previously told the government that the procedure it chose to fire Baharav-Miara was inappropriate.
