Former UConn women’s basketball star Katie Lou Samuelson will miss the 2025 WNBA season after suffering a torn ACL.

Storm coach Noelle Quinn said the team will help Katie Lou Samuelson's "journey" as the forward recovers from a torn ACL in what was expected to be a "great year."

Last season, Samuelson signed with the Indiana Fever but struggled to make an impact. She averaged just 4.3 points on 33.0 percent shooting and eventually lost her spot in the starting lineup. She and the team agreed to buyout her contract, which opened the door for her return to the Storm.
