The Alabama Crimson Tide basketball team received some significant news Tuesday afternoon, as head coach Nate Oats confirmed that graduate student guard Latrell Wrightsell Jr. will miss the remainder of the 2024-25 season as a result of an injury.

Senior guard Latrell Wrightsell Jr. suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon during the team’s recent game against Oregon, head coach Nate Oats confirmed on Tuesday.

He's going to have surgery on Wednesday and we expect him to make a full recovery. It's obviously not a quick recovery, but Dr. Waldrop will do the surgery and he'll be able to get back to a high level of basketball after his recovery.
