A new wildfire was reported today at 7:46 p.m. in San Bernardino County. Amber Fire has been burning on private land. At this time, the containment status is unknown and the cause of the fire remains undetermined.

Firefighters rescued a girl and her family’s dog from a house fire Monday morning, Feb. 3, in San Bernardino. Crews responded at 11:15 a.m. within six minutes of a call regarding a fire in a single-story home in the 1300 block of North Valencia Avenue, according to the San Bernardino County Fire Department.

A 27-year-old woman who went missing in December from San Bernardino County has been located, officials announced Wednesday. Elle Shay Francis disappeared from the Muscoy area on Dec. 28 in the area of Duffy Street and 3rd Avenue.

A drone is now the first responder to ‘unknown type fire’ calls — frequently those set by homeless people — in the city of San Bernardino.
