Vietjet and aircraft manufacturer Airbus on June 17 announced a major new order for 100 A321neo aircraft, with the potential to add another 50 in the future.
Vietjet has placed an additional order with Rolls-Royce for 40 Trent 7000 engines to power its fleet of 20 Airbus A330neo aircraft.
The order, announced Tuesday at the Paris Air Show, came just three weeks after Vietjet doubled its firm orders for the A330neo widebody to 40 aircraft. The carrier also has orders for 96 A320neo-family aircraft that were placed before Tuesday’s deal.
Vietnamese airline Vietjet has signed a major agreement with Airbus to buy 100 A321neo aircraft, with the option to add another 50 in the future, in a deal that will support production at Airbus’ Broughton wing factory.
The second day of Paris Air Show 2025 is well underway with defense giants dominating the early headlines, but Airbus later swept in with a huge Vietjet order.
