The classes in 1892 were inclusive before their time: they did not discriminate on religious grounds – two of the first nine students were Jewish.

De La Salle’s athletic department enables student-athletes to learn the values and lessons of life that are closely associated with the Lasallian experience. Men’s & Women’s Programs We offer 20 sports programs for young men and 20 for young women.

The De La Salle Outstanding Young Alumni Award is presented annually to an alumni who has graduated in the last fifteen years and has distinguished themselves by remaining dedicated to the mission of De La Salle.

De La Salle Institute’s Core Values include: Faith, Service, Community, Social Justice, Academic Excellence and Respect. Incoming freshmen may apply for the Faith and Service Scholarship , a $2,000 scholarship that will be awarded to up to five qualifying incoming freshmen.
